Modalities we offer:

Therapeutic/Deep Tissue/Swedish

Different in focus, Swedish and Deep Tissue massage compliment each other extremely well. Most practitioners use a combination of the two to promote general well-being and help their clients overcome dysfunctional muscle patterns.  Since we focus on everyone as an individual, we have changed our Deep Tissue to Therapeutic.

When broken down, the word “ashi” means foot and “atsu” means pressure. However, ashiatsu practitioners may also utilize their knees, elbows, palms, and fingers (“shiatsu” translates to “finger pressure” (“shi” meaning finger). Ashiatsu includes a combination of Swedish, myofascial, and compression massage strokes. It includes long gliding strokes associated with Western or Swedish massage.

Pregnancy / Postnatal Massage

Massage therapy during pregnancy is a wonderful complementary choice for prenatal care. Massage relieves many of the normal discomforts experienced during pregnancy. It is a healthy way to reduce stress and promote overall wellness.

Couples Massage

Massages for two people at the same time.  They can either be in the same room or two different rooms.  Please call ahead to book this service!

Hot Stones

Hot stone massage melts away tension, eases muscle stiffness and increases circulation and metabolism. Each hot stone massage therapy session promotes deeper muscle relaxation through the placement of smooth, water-heated stones at key points on the body. Our professional massage therapists also incorporate a customized massage, with the use of hot stones to offer enhanced benefits.

Bamboo Massage

Bamboo massage defines a deep tissue technique using different sizes and lengths of bamboo to stimulate blood circulation. Stalks of bamboo might cover large areas of the body or apply pressure to specific regions, depending on the size and diameter used by bamboo massage therapists. Some techniques use heated pieces of bamboo, along with oil or lotion to create long strokes that increase blood circulation and promote relaxation.

Massage Cupping

Massage cupping is a modified version of "cupping therapy," which has been used extensively in Chinese medicine for several thousand years.  By creating suction and negative pressure, massage cupping is used to drain excess fluids and toxins, sedate the nervous system, bring blood flow to stagnant tissue, and to loosen adhesions, connective tissue and stubborn knots. (Different from Vacuum Therapy)

Reflexology is the application of appropriate pressure to specific points and areas on the feet, hands, or ears. Reflexologists believe that these areas and reflex points correspond to different body organs and systems, and that applying pressure has a beneficial effect on the organs and a person's general health. For example, reflexology holds that a specific spot in the arch of the foot corresponds to the bladder point. When a reflexology practitioner uses their thumbs or fingers to apply appropriate pressure to this area, it affects bladder functioning.

CranioSacral Therapy

CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on approach that releases tensions deep in the body to relieve pain and dysfunction and improve whole-body health and performance. Using a soft touch, practitioners release restrictions in the soft tissues that surround the CNS. CST is increasingly used as a preventive health measure for its ability to bolster resistance to disease, and it's effective for a wide range of medical problems associated with pain and dysfunction.  Ask for Holly when booking your appointment.

Body Scrub

Besides feeling wonderful, body scrubs have several rejuvenating benefits for the skin.  Body scrubs gently remove dead skin cells, dirt and oil from the outer layer of skin.  This helps to unclog pores and expose your skin’s underlying healthier layers.  They are very moisturizing.  The natural oils produced by our our body are often lost during showering and bathing.  Body scrubs have a rich, moisturizing base which provides needed hydration. Also, the removal of dead skin cells actually increases your skins ability to absorb moisture.  In addition, the firm, circular motions used during a scrub help to improve circulation and increase the skin’s firmness.
